- PDX Hip Hop Week — Various venues around town showcasing local and regional hip hop talent. Free and ticketed events running through the week.
- Lion Dance & Kung Fu Weekends — Heritage performances and traditional martial arts demonstrations at Lan Su Chinese Garden. Great for families and anyone interested in Chinese culture. Free entry.
- Bubbles & Beats Block Party & Play Street — NE Hassalo Street (between NE Grand & NE 6th): music, street play, and neighborly vibes. Runs through the afternoon.
- Portland Samba Drumming Class — Part of the city’s arts calendar, this class offers an hour of rhythm, open to all skill levels. Contact the Arts & Culture department for location details.
Coming This Weekend & Soon
- Converge 45 Art Triennial 2026 — Opening at the Schnitzer School of Art (PSU) at 2 PM this Thursday; multiple exhibition sites across the city through Sunday. A major showcase of visual art and installations.
- Mayfly Kölsch Fest — A celebration of beer culture paired with local music, food, and community. Mayfly Taproom and Bottle Shop will host this fest later in the week.
- Panda Fest Portland (Food Festival) — Early September event at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. A weekend full of flavors, performances, and cultural showcases.
